Massage at its Essence!

Touch can often bring mind/body-nuanced perceptions to the client that far exceed the benefits of relaxation and release of tension!

Heartfelt Intent

Through our compassionate intent, and heartfelt touch, we can soothe, care for, and bring impactful mind/body awareness to our client. A collaboration of sorts, that can offer the client a reconnection with the perception of their body and help to affirm the nervous system’s effect on it.

Movement

The way in which we move through our touch can directly affect the nervous system…slow, purposeful touch, and even simple lite compression can slow breathing, and most importantly bring a refined perception of one’s own body.

Grace

Our voice, our words and our energy have great significance in this experience. The energy we bring to the session, along with a compassionate voice and soft tone, can have immeasurable positive effects on the client. This often can help to facilitate a pathway to connect the client with his or her own self-healing abilities.

Understanding

How do we use our education, training, and intuition to understand what our client is really telling us. Do we really listen with true curiosity? The way in which we dialogue to truly hear our client’s story can help to create a profound collaborative experience for our client.

Eric Guthman | Founder

Originally from Portland Oregon, Eric began his love for massage while pursuing a successful career as a professional drummer. After many years of using his hands to create music, he discovered that through massage and bodywork, he could also use his hands in a healing way, to help others along a path to better health and wellness.

Eric graduated from The Advanced School of Massage in Thousand Oaks California. He has studied numerous modalities and has developed tremendous skills in table and chair massage. He has worked extensively in the chiropractic field, concentrating his efforts on helping many clients suffering from whiplash, frozen shoulder syndrome, sciatica, and nerve pain.

Eric is also a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, and his knowledge of strength training, balance and flexibility training creates a dynamic dual approach to help all of his clients reach their goals. When not working, Eric’s interests include yoga, hiking, photography, researching and a little drumming too!

“Eric is a great Massage Therapist! He really hits all the areas you need him to based on your own individual needs. He’s extremely professional, and you can tell he really cares about his clients. Eric wants to help his clients improve their quality of life. You can tell he is well skilled at his craft and really loves helping people.
